How soon will my account be set up and ready for use?
To avoid any fraudulent orders, every new account will be checked and processed
manually. Maximum setup time: 24 hours for hosting accounts and 72 hours for
domain registrations (registration, setup and propagation). You will receive an email with your account information, IP address, username and password. You can then start uploading to your site.
Is my access 24 hours a day?
Yes; you will have access to your account 24 hours a day.
Do you offer a money-back guarantee?
All our shared and reseller hosting packages include a 30 day unconditional money back guarantee.
Do you have any promos or coupon codes?
Yes, we do have coupon codes available on a regular basis. Currently, we have the coupon code "20offRS" available and that will get you 20% OFF your first order when purchasing one of our reseller packages.
Do you allow adult, warez or other illicit sites or content?
No. Please see our acceptable use policy page for permissible and non-permissible content.
Can I get unlimited bandwidth?
No. We do not offer packages with unlimited bandwidth primarily because there is no such thing. Anyone who promises you this is not telling you the truth. Somewhere in the company’s terms and conditions are likely to be some words referring to "excessive use of resources", and, in effect, this will place some form of arbitrary limit on your bandwidth usage. We set limits to both protect you and to provide you with a reliable quality service.
Where are your servers located?
Our shared servers are located in Montreal, Canada and our reseller servers in Los Angeles, U.S.A.
How do I move my current site to LinkAlone?
Each situation is different; however, generally, there are 3 basic steps you need to take in order to move your site from your current hosting company to LinkAlone, as follows:
1) Select and order the appropriate LinkAlone package;
2) Move the contents of your current site to your new site. Setup email accounts, forwarders, auto-responders;
3) Change the name of the server for your domain at the registrar where your domain is registered. Within 24 to 48 hours the changes you’ve made should start to take effect.
What is Bandwidth?
Bandwidth is the amount of data moved between your site and the browser of the customer accessing your site. It is typically measured in Gigabits.
I want to change my account plan. How do I upgrade / downgrade my account?
To upgrade/downgrade your account, please go to your client area page and click on upgrade/downgrade and submit your request. Changes should be reflected immediately, once the payment is received.
What is Virtual Hosting?
Virtual Hosting is where multiple websites (www.anyname.com) are served from the same physical server. This saves each customer from purchasing their own expensive server, performing a set-up and providing the appropriate environment. This is the most common method of hosting small to medium size sites, with light to moderate traffic.
Do you have Front-Page extensions?
No, we don't longer offer because cPanel has announced the end of life for FrontPage which makes very hard to work with it.
Can we add services as we grow and need them?
Options can be added or removed, at any time, to cater to your current needs.
Do you provide backup processing?
We backup the data on our servers each week. However, even though we backup data, we also strongly recommend that you keep a remote backup of your files and data.
